During that time, he asked the approximately 4,000 fellow inmates incarcerated with him who among them would watch the sequel once it was made; to this, they all unanimously replied that they would eagerly await its release.
Those 4,000 inmates also played a role in the making of this sequel, as Sanjay Dutt had asked each of them to write a one-page note regarding the film.Subsequently, when Sanjay Dutt was released from jail on parole, he asked Subhash Sir the producer of the original film to read these pages. Following this, he too suggested making the film, stating that it absolutely must be produced.
